At A+D Collective, we offer artists and designers from the Netherlands an international platform to successfully showcase art and design objects. We support them with material expertise, production capabilities, and financing. We collaborate with artists and designers on an equal basis for the realization and sale of one or more specific objects through leading international Art Fairs.
Our goal is to introduce 'Bj A+D Collective' at the international art fair Art Basel Miami Beach by the end of 2024.
Bridge to the USA
A+D Collective bridges Dutch artists/designers with American galleries and buyers. This way, their ideas gain shape, value, and market. We focus on the USA because the American market offers exceptional opportunities for designers of unique objects to make a breakthrough. The appreciation for these works is significant, and the willingness to purchase is high.
A+D Collective guides artists/designers from idea to market. For the realization of an idea into an object, we utilize all necessary disciplines. We have close connections with leading specialists in working with glass, plastic, metal, wood, and many other materials. The collective expertise expands the technical possibilities to realize an idea without limits. This allows us to produce promising objects, ranging from low-cost prototypes to unique pieces and limited series.
In some cases, galleries may purchase work through 'Bj A+D Collective' at an International Art Fair and then offer it for a higher price through their gallery. In such instances, 'Bj A+D Collective' applies a surcharge to the price, which is then shared with the artist.
An additional benefit of this collaboration with galleries is that it increases the market value of the object, thereby enhancing the artist's reputation on the international stage.
A+D Collective facilitates collaboration among parties as in a collective. The project brings together the desires of buyers, the insights of galleries, the expertise of production companies, and the ideas of designers.

I am 65, and in business, things have gone well for me. Over the course of 27 years, I've built up a successful company that has connected me with fascinating individuals worldwide. I've come to know artists, designers, art collectors, architects, and production companies from all corners of the globe.
Through my tenure as the director of Genesis Product Development, I've witnessed the challenges Dutch artists/designers face in gaining recognition. Additionally, in my work with international clients, I've seen the substantial value placed on works comparable to those of Dutch artists, yet sold domestically for a fraction of their international worth. Putting two and two together, the concept of 'Bj A+D Collective' was born.
I'm eager to give back to those who have contributed to my success and that of my company. Offering my material knowledge and network is something I find fulfilling. If I can help artists/designers achieve success through my concept, it would bring me great joy. That's why I'm now fully focused on 'Bj A+D Collective.' I have the means, the time, and the energy to make one final push. My ambition is to turn 'Bj A+D Collective' into a resounding success.
The academies
A+D Collective seeks collaboration with institutions such as the Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) and the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague. Additionally, it aims to participate in artist-in-residence programs.
